“Dr.” Florian Bresler – Männerwerkstatt Munich, business and personal insolvency

Florian Bresler (born 7 November 1976, according to the commercial register) is the founder of Die Männer Werkstatt in Munich (Wilhelmstraße 32 / Amalienstraße 41). Sizeable claims established by enforceable titles exist against Florian Bresler. He applied to the Munich Local Court to open insolvency proceedings over his own assets (personal insolvency, case no. 1507 IN 2021/25); on 20 August 2025 the insolvency court determined that he will obtain discharge of his residual debts if he meets his obligations and there are no grounds for refusing it. According to available information, he is still in Munich; delivering a letter to him nevertheless proves difficult, as he was deregistered in Munich on 7 October 2025 as having moved to an “unknown” address and we know of no new registered address. According to our information, his doctoral title is a Doctor of Business Administration obtained in Northern Cyprus; under the case law and the Bavarian rules set out below, such a degree may not be used as “Dr.”.

Florian Bresler’s business model and the Männerwerkstatt

Florian Bresler founded “Die Männerwerkstatt” in Munich-Schwabing in 2021 as a premium men’s cosmetics studio. The services included medical beauty (hyaluronic acid, thread lifting), HYDRAFACIAL treatments, manicures, pedicures and barbering. The target group was male customers, including, by his own account, prominent figures from politics and sport, for example Lothar Matthäus. Florian Bresler positioned the Männerwerkstatt as a premium brand and maintained partnerships with Bushmills Irish Whiskey and BaBylissPRO.

Florian Bresler opened the first branch at Wilhelmstraße 32; a second branch followed at Amalienstraße 41. In addition, Florian Bresler planned an expansion with Die Männer Werkstatt Königshof GmbH and a location in Austria (Die Männer Werkstatt Austria GmbH, Grabenweg 68, Innsbruck).

His own account of his career

On his websites florianbresler.de and florianbresler.com, Florian Bresler presents himself as an executive in marketing, sales and corporate management. His profile and the page Career history (in German) list positions at Publicis Groupe, SELLBYTEL Group and BBDO, Williams Lea and Deutsche Post DHL, the Serviceplan Gruppe, Hubert Burda Media and coliquio; at Serviceplan and Hubert Burda Media, by his own account, also in executive management. In a press release of 25 October 2026 published via openPR, he again describes himself as the former head of Serviceplan Solutions and as a member of the executive management of Hubert Burda Media, responsible for marketing and sales.

We were unable to obtain confirmation of any of these statements about a position at the companies named.

Insolvency and restructuring

On 25 March 2025, provisional insolvency administration was ordered over Die Männer Werkstatt GmbH & Co. KG, with Dr Elske Fehl-Weileder as provisional insolvency administrator. Five days earlier, on 20 March 2025, it had been published in the commercial register that Florian Bresler was no longer managing director of Die Männer Werkstatt Verwaltungs GmbH (general partner). On 20 August 2025, the Munich Local Court also issued a decision in the insolvency proceedings over his own assets, proceedings for which he had applied himself (personal insolvency, case no. 1507 IN 2021/25).

Current status of the companies (as of October 2026)

On 7 April 2025, the change of name of Die Männer Werkstatt Verwaltungs GmbH to MCare Beauty Deutschland Verwaltungs GmbH was registered; Luljeta Dine (born 7 July 1986, according to the commercial register) became the new managing director. MCARE Beauty Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG has been in liquidation since 5 May 2025, and MCare Beauty Deutschland Verwaltungs GmbH since 28 May 2025. Die Männer Werkstatt Königshof GmbH is also in liquidation (published on 15 April 2025); since 29 September 2025, Florian Bresler himself has been registered as liquidator.

The legal notice of the website diemaennerwerkstatt.com (archived versions from November 2025 to July 2026) names as the provider DrB Live GmbH, entered in the register at the Munich Local Court (HRB 300556) on 5 March 2025, with its registered office at Amalienstraße 41, 80799 Munich. Florian Bresler was initially managing director of DrB Live GmbH; on 8 April 2025, Luljeta Dine was registered as sole managing director and Florian Bresler was deleted as managing director. According to notices of the German Patent and Trade Mark Office of 14 July 2025, DrB Live GmbH was the holder of the word/figurative mark “DMW 2021 DIE MÄNNER WERKSTATT KOSMETIK FÜR MÄNNER” and the word mark “Die Männerwerkstatt”.

On 2 July 2026, DMW 10 GmbH (HRB 314032) was entered in the register at the Munich Local Court – at the same address, Amalienstraße 41, 80799 Munich, and with the same business purpose as DrB Live GmbH (catering, live events, cosmetic services). Its managing director is Luljeta Dine, who according to the register analysis is also its sole shareholder. On 17 July 2026, the Munich Local Court issued a decision in insolvency proceedings concerning the assets of DrB Live GmbH (case no. 1507 IN 2624/26); since 2 October 2026, DrB Live GmbH has been registered as in liquidation. The legal notice of the website diemaennerwerkstatt.com now names DMW 10 GmbH (as of 30 October 2026).

Company overview: companies, roles and shareholdings

Note: According to the Austrian commercial register (register analysis), DrB Live GmbH was registered as a shareholder of SBT-Gastro GmbH, Aussichtspromenade 16, 9220 Velden am Wörther See (FN 652942 i), when that company was entered on 7 May 2025; since 10 April 2026 it has no longer been registered there as a shareholder.

Until recently, Florian Bresler was registered at various addresses, including:

• Spinnereiinsel 3b, 83059 Kolbermoor (main address; however, there are only offices and commercial premises there)
• Wilhelmstraße 32, 80801 München (business address of the first Männerwerkstatt branch)
• further short-term registered addresses in Upper Bavaria

The registration data show frequent moves at short intervals. On 7 October 2025, Florian Bresler was deregistered in Munich as having moved to an “unknown” address. An enquiry in Kufstein (Austria) likewise revealed no registration.

According to available information, Florian Bresler can still regularly be found at the Amalienstraße 41 branch in Munich; according to the commercial register, he holds no role in the companies based there.

Questions about Florian Bresler’s doctoral title

Florian Bresler appears publicly as “Dr. Florian Bresler”, including on his websites, in press releases and, until 2025, in the legal notice of the Männerwerkstatt website; the public notice of his insolvency proceedings also lists him as “Dr. Bresler Florian”. According to our information, the underlying academic degree, a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA), was awarded by Cyprus International University in Northern Cyprus. In its judgment of 8 June 2022 (case no. 15 K 1562/20), the Administrative Court of Düsseldorf ruled that a DBA degree awarded by Cyprus International University may not be used as “Dr.” under the higher education law of North Rhine-Westphalia. In Bavaria, the relaxed rules for foreign academic degrees expressly do not apply to degrees obtained in the northern part of Cyprus. Permissible use would at most be possible in the full original form, stating the awarding institution. In his press release of 25 October 2026, Florian Bresler names FHM Bielefeld, the University of Gloucestershire and Cyprus International University in connection with his dissertation (2017).
